Utah Jazz veteran guard Mike Conley is out tonight for Game 2 with a strained right hamstring. This means Joe Ingles and Donovan Mitchell will again be the primary playmakers Game 2 against the Clippers. Serge Ibaka is also reportedly out for the Clippers.

The LA Clippers actually had the largest lead of the night with 14 but had no answer for Donovan Mitchell. The Jazz star guard dropped 45 points on the Clippers on 53.3% FG. Mitchell went 7 of 8 from the free throw line. The Utah Jazz outscored the Clippers in the paint, 36 to 28.

Ivica Zubac will again be expected to defend the lanes from Mitchell and match up with Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert… Without picking up fouls no less. There’s an obvious void with Serge Ibaka not out there as a shot blocking presence against the Jazz.

The Clippers’ Kawhi Leonard was the second highest scorer of the night in Game 1, scoring 23 points on 47.4% FG. Luke Kennard was a big story for the Clippers, scoring 18 points on 77.8% FG. Kennard has played well since he’s been given the green light from Clippers Coach Tyronn Lue at the end of the Dallas Mavericks series.

The Los Angeles Clippers certainly don’t want to go back home down 0-2 at Staples Center, where they dropped 3 of 4 against the Dallas Mavericks.

That’s it for tonight’s NBABite size game notes. Enjoy the NBA Live Stream on ESPN!
