Luka Doncic is averaging a scorching 31.6 points per game throughout this semifinals against the Suns. Jalen Brunson is averaging 15.6 points per game which is brought down a bit by the playoff anomaly 9 points in Game 1 of this series.

Chris Paul hasn’t scored over the teens since his 28 point outburst in Game 2 of this series. Since turning 37, Paul has been through a minor slump, particularly when it comes to turnovers. Paul turned the ball over 7 and 5 times in two of the games the Suns lost this series.

Devin Booker has been Luka’s chief rival, mocking Luka during a foul call and paying the price for it in Game 6. Booker went 6 of 17 last game from the field but has been almost perfect from the free throw line. Going 7 of 7 free throws last game and 12 of 13 in Game 4 against the Mavs.

Donney Finney-Smith has not been shooting the ball as often since 24 point, 8 three pointer outburst in Game 4. The Mavs will need Finney-Smith’s scoring to open the floor for Luka Doncic when he posts up. Tim Hardaway Jr. has been sorely missed for the three point kick out pass this postseason run for the Mavs.

If the Mavericks should advance, Coach Jason Kidd will have taken them to the Western Conference Finals with almost the same team sans Kristaps Porzingis, add Spencer Dinwiddie.

DeAndre Ayton’s contract extension is coming up so this could be it for this Suns squad if Ayton doesn’t resign. It will be a big void for Coach Monty Williams to fill, not to mention losing as a first seed.
