Fresh off studio album “Bad Mode” Hikaru Utada has teamed up with CARTIER, releasing a campaign movie. The short features song, “Somewhere Near Marseilles”.

About TRINITY FOR CHITOSE ABE OF sacai Collection:
“CARTIER TRINITY FOR CHITOSE ABE OF sacai” is a limited-edition jewelry collection created by Cartier, Jeweler and watchmaker since 1847, and Chitose Abe, the designer and founder of sacai, by combining their respective visions for the “Trinity” ring.
The result is the six limited-edition models born from this creative encounter which will be available exclusively in Japan starting July 7. (to be available in Paris, London, NY, Seoul in winter).”

The campaign movie can also be seen at the Omotesando pop-up store and on the feature website. The website offers a special interview with Hikaru Utada.
Utada’s album “Somewhere Near Marseilles” was co-produced with Sam Shepherd (Floating Points) and soundtracks the campaign movie. Cartier and Chitose Abe, both supervised the movie which was directed by Yuichi Kodama. The Director’s past works include music videos for “Nijikan Dake No Vacance” and “The Sun&moon”.

History of Trinity:
“Cartier’s iconic “Trinity” was born in 1924 from the playful imagination of Louis Cartier.
Based on the “Trinity” ring, soon to celebrate its 100th anniversary, Cartier’s creative dialogue with designer Chitose Abe has resulted in a new interpretation of harmony.
The design, while retaining the elegance of the original, is now available in six limited editions.”
