Japanese metal band ASTERISM to perform free show in NYC

Japanese metal band ASTERISM will perform a free show in New York City on July 11 at live music venue, S.O.B.’s (Sounds of Brazil).

ASTERISM is a fan favorite for their anime song covers like Tokyo Ghoul opening theme “Unravel”, which has seen over 1 million views on YouTube.

ASTERISM will play a free live set at NYC’s S.O.B.’s starting at 8:00 pm ET in promotion of their new album ‘Animetic+p’.

Doors to the venue will open at 7:00 pm ET. You can get GA (General Admission – Standing only) tickets now, * maximum of four free tickets per individual.

Those on the west coast, can also catch a free show on July 9th at The Observatory in Santa Ana, California. The Santa Ana live show will begin at 8:00 pm PT and doors will open at 7:00 pm PT.

This will be ASTERISM’s first US Tour since 2019. The Japanese metal band has already announced a live performance at Anime Expo 2023.

“The band’s global release of Anison cover album titled Animetic+p, will be available on June 28, 2023.
 
The album showcases instrumental renditions of popular songs, including “Kaikai Kitan,” the opening theme from the immensely popular anime series Jujutsu Kaisen, as well as “Silhouette” from the blockbuster anime series Naruto Shippuden.

About ASTERISM:

“ASTERISM is a three-piece instrumental heavy metal band consisting of HAL-CA (Guitar), MIYU (Bass) and MIO (Drums).
 
All three have enjoyed music since childhood. HAL-CA worked solo, MIO and MIYU performed together as brothers. In 2014, the three met at a musical competition and ASTERISM was formed.
 
The band has been active both domestically and internationally since 2019, touring the US and Asia, including an appearance at SXSW. The band made their major debut from Sony Music Labels in March 2023.
 
The band is aiming for further global expansion with a new genre called “MASS METAL” which stands for metal music that reaches, resonates, and is loved by the masses, through their meticulously composed music and unique pop sensibilities.”
