Legendary singer Kim Wilde will bring her magnetic, spellbinding voice for a free concert in La Garde’s Place de la République on Monday, July 29.
English pop icon Kim Wilde will play a free gig for fans this summer over in the south of France, in the midst of her Return of the Aliens tour. Showtime begins at 9:30 p.m. (21:30) for locals excited to hear the soothing, dulcet tones of Wilde’s uplifting vocals live. The action goes down in the French city of La Garde’s inviting Place de la République on July 29.
No matter where you are, all it takes is five seconds of “Looking out a dirty old window” to perfectly recall the magic that made Wilde top the charts effortlessly. The “Kids in America” and “You Keep Me Hanging On” vocalist is embarking on a European tour this May to support 2018 record, Here Come The Aliens.
The extra terrestrial themed namesake was Wilde’s 14th studio album to date and the first since 2013’s Wilde Winter Songbook. Kim is set to begin touring on Saturday, May 25 with Stockholm, Sweden at Zinkensdamms IP as the first lucky stop. The blonde-locked Wilde will be touring across her native U.K., Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium from May 25 to November 24, 2019.
Here Come The Aliens, released in March 2018, was produced by Kim’s brother (and long-time producer) Ricky Wilde and featuring a beautiful cover by niece (and backing vocalist) Scarlett Wilde. The album featured singles “Pop Don’t Stop”, “Kandy Krush”, “Birthday”, with deluxe edition adding single “Amourese des Reves” to the mix.
Scarlett Wilde’s charming art had a distinct ‘retro cinema poster’ flavor to it. What you’d expect when hearing the album title for the first time without looking, a homage to sci-fi’s past.
