Luka Dončić’s Dallas Mavericks have defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 2-1 in the regular season. The Dallas Mavericks last played the LA Clippers on March 21, 2021 where Luka scored 42 points for a 105-89 victory.

The Mavericks’ JJ Redick is not expected to participate in the first round of the playoffs due to right heal soreness. Maxi Kleber has been dealing with soreness in his achilles in his right foot but is probable for today’s matchup in LA.

The Dallas Mavericks faced the LA Clippers in the first round last year as the 7th seed going against the 2nd seed. The series went to six games and ultimately the Clippers took the first round series in 2020.

Now it’s clear that was just the beginning of this Western Conference rivalry and Luka Dončić will look to even things out. This year the Dallas Mavericks are the 5th seed in the West while the LA Clippers are the 4th seed.

Clippers point guard Reggie Jackson is not listed on the injury report for today’s matchup. Jackson has been dealing with soreness in his achilles in his right foot.
