V-CRX: ‘The Rising of the Shield Hero’ Japanese VAs announced

Virtual Crunchyroll Expo has announced The Rising of the Shield Hero’s Japanese voice actors Asami Seto, Kaito Ishikawa, and Rina Hidaka as featured guests.

Crunchyroll is pulling out all the stops for this year’s digital convention, adding three more Japanese VAs to V-CRX 2021. Keeping in line with the SAO Dub panel announcements of Bryce Papenbrook and Cherami Leigh is Sword Art Online’s original Japanese voice actor for Keiko Ayano / Silica, Rina Hidaka.

The SAO voice actress is the voice of Filo in The Rising of the Shield Hero. Hidaka is also known for her roles in Food Wars! as Urara Kawashima, Inu X Boku Secret Service as Ririchiyo Shirakiin and Strike the Blood as Nagisa Akatsuki.

Asami Seto is the voice of Raphtalia in The Rising of the Shield Hero. Seto is also known for her roles in Food Wars! as Miyoko Hojo, Emilie De Rochefort (Lili) in Street Fighter x Tekken, Chihaya Ayase from Chihayafuru, and Mai Sakurajima from Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai.

Kaito Ishikawa is the voice of Naofumi Iwatani in The Rising of the Shield Hero. Ishikawa is also known for his work as Nero in Devil May Cry 5, Tenya Ida in My Hero Academia, Sakuta Azusagawa from Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, and Ledo from Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet.

Crunchyroll has announced the return of the Industry Panel at this year’s V-CRX. This year’s panel will feature news about upcoming Crunchyroll original series High Guardian Spice. There will also be exclusive announcements and sneak peaks made at Virtual Crunchyroll Expo 2021.
