Actress Celia Au will be an ‘Ambassador of Hope’ for the second year in a row at tonight’s CMP Dinner Reception in Times Square, New York. It will be the first in-person, non-virtual CMP Gala in two years since the pandemic began.
You can watch Celia Au speak at the event live on YouTube at 7:00 pm EST tonight (April 28, 2022).
Alongside, the Wu Assassins and In A New York Minute star will be Chen Tang from Disney’s Mulan and singer-songwriter Vivian Liu, who were also named ‘Ambassadors of Hope’ this year. Vivian Liu will perform a special music set as part of the CMP Gala.
“Established in 1972, CMP is a private, not-for-profit organization with a mission to promote economic self-sufficiency and career advancement.
At CMP we equip low-income immigrants with the skills and networks they need to be economically self-sufficient, and contributing members to the greater New York City community.”
CMP recently reopened with a new headquarters located at 55 Chrystie St., 2nd FL, New York, NY 10002.

Celia Au starred in two seasons of AMC’s TV show Lodge 49 as popular character Alice Ba. She is also well known for playing Ying Ying in Netflix series Wu Assassins. The rising actress was born in Hong Kong and raised in Brooklyn, New York.
Fun Fact: The New York City star once aspired to be a Power Ranger as a child.
