Burnout Syndromes headlining Crunchyroll Expo Music Fest
J-Rock group Burnout Syndromes will headline one of the mainstage performances at the 2022 Crunchyroll Expo Music Festival. The band is known for the opening themes for anime shows Haikyu!! and Dr. Stone.
Burnout Syndromes were previously nominated for “Best Opening” theme at the 2020 Crunchyroll Anime Awards for “Phoenix” from anime series Haikyu!!.
They also performed the first ending theme to anime series Gintama, “Hana Ichi Monme”
About Crunchyroll Expo 2022: New Crunchy City Music Fest
Crunchyroll has dubbed their newly minted three day celebration of live music, ‘New Crunchy City Music Fest‘.
The event will feature live performances from a mix of local & international artists. Burnout Syndromes joins J-Pop girl group ATARASHII GAKKO! as the latest featured Japanese music act performing.
You’ll be able to attend ‘New Crunchy City Music Fest’ for free if you’ve purchased tickets to Crunchyroll Expo.
The Crunchyroll Expo x Music Festival will take place at San Jose, California on August 5 – August 7, 2022 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center.

MADKID: A popular dance vocal group best known for their opening themes for The Rising of the Shield Hero.
Hiromitsu “JIMA” Ijima: “JIMA” is the Music Producer and Director behind The Rising of the Shield Hero, MADE IN ABYSS, Tower of God, among many others.
Kosuke Arai: Animation Producer from Kadokawa on The Rising of the Shield Hero.

“Crunchyroll Expo is the yearly celebration of all things anime, featuring unique panels, exclusive merchandise, and world premieres.
This year’s show will both be in-person and streaming online August 5–7, 2022, with an additional digital replay available until August 9, 2022.
