Here’s a phonetic translation of what Esther says in Hebrew on The Walking Dead: Dead City Episode 2:

During scene where Negan and Maggie are being held at gun/grapple hook point:

“Anashem tuvem!”: “They’re good people!”

“Ma ata ose?”: “What are you doing?!”

“Dai!”: “Stop!”

“Lo, lo, lo, eaye besder!”: – “No, no, no, everything will be alright / okay!”

“Baechayiey” – “[I swear on] My life”

During scene where Negan asks to be taken to where The Croat is:

(when offering Negan pigeon) “Sachar?” : “Trade?”

“Mesokan!” : “Dangerous!”

“Mesokan meoad!” : “Very Dangerous!”

“E efshar! E efshar!”: “[We] Can’t! [We] Can’t”

As you can see, “The Pigeon Lady” as Negan affectionately calls Esther, trusts him & Maggie and doesn’t want to put them in harms way.

In fact, she tries to convince Tommaso and Amaia to stand down, calling Negan and Maggie “Anashem Tuvem” or “Good People!” Despite just meeting them.

TWD: Dead City’s Esther is played by actress Eleanor Reissa and speaks fluent Hebrew.
