Lopez vs Lopez Season 2 Episode 7 Review: Rosie’s Dream, George’s Nightmare

Review: “Lopez vs Dreams” spotlights George’s faustian bargain: Sober enough to realize he lost the love of his life forever. Rosie’s dream man Josué is George’s worst nightmare… And he can’t wake up.

Every day that passes makes George’s old vows to Rosie shift faster to the rearview mirror. An evanescent, nostalgic memory tinged with regret. Cruise control to fading out of memory with no brakes.

“Rosie’s a great woman who I lost because of my drinking. But now that I’m sober, I’m just thinking maybe it could be different” – George Lopez.

Now George is confronted by the sins of his past every time he’s forced to watch his loving ex-wife lock lips with Josué in front of him. A polished slicked hair lawyer that George’s own friend Oscar won’t lie is a ‘better fit’ for Rosie.

Like NBA player Manu Ginóbili once commented, ‘It’s the games decided by 1 or 2 plays that keep us up at night not the blowout losses’. George had Rosie, maybe one drink less somewhere is the difference between a happy marriage and living a waking nightmare.
