However, the Raptors need Siakam to step up for a big game on offense without Kawhi Leonard there to take over. That follows a 1-5 three point shooting performance in Game 1.

Fred VanVleet was also not himself from the three point line, going 3 for 12 but had 19 points and 7 assists last game. The Raptors can’t expect to win if they can’t stretch the floor with the three point-shot. Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics’ Jayson Tatum went 4-7 from beyond the arch with 34 points on 8 of 17 (47.1% FG). Jaylen Brown scored 16 points on 5 of 13 with 3-8 from beyond the arch. The Celtics’ Kemba Walker though shot only 1 of 8 from the three point line and 6 of 18 overall for 17 points. It should generally be said, perhaps teams in the NBA are simply collectively shooting too many threes. There is an art to the mid-range 2-pt shot after all. Not everyone can be Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson out there.
