Kevin Durant’s Brooklyn Nets have defeated the Boston Celtics 3-0 in the regular season. The Nets’ first win against the Celtics this season predates the James Harden trade as well. Jayson Tatum scored 50 against the Washington Wizards last game, so expect the Celtics to feel some momentum going in. However, the Brooklyn Nets simply have more talent and firepower on paper.
You’re looking at James Harden, Kevin Durant, and Kyrie Irving as a big 3 along with talents like Blake Griffin who are veterans in the NBA Playoffs. Jayson Tatum, Kemba Walker, Evan Fournier and Marcus Smart will have to play their absolute best every game to have a chance in this series.
Nets guard Landry Shamet is probable for today’s game despite aggravating a sprained ankle back in April. Nets shooting guard Joe Harris is not expected to be on a minutes restriction this post season.
Celtics’ young center Robert Williams is likely to play tonight but is considered ‘questionable’ officially due to a ‘turf toe’ in his left foot. Williams was unable to practice this past Friday. Jaylen Brown recently underwent surgery on his left wrist and will be out for the Playoffs.
