This Negan TWD S11 Premiere recap contains spoilers.
Tonight on “Acheron: Part I”, Negan dusted off his jeans and stood tall again, informing Maggie’s group unequivocally that he’s had enough. Negan would not march forward like a toy solider into his death. He refused to “die like a dog” so Maggie could point the finger at ‘reasonable doubt’ as the cause.
Washing her hands clean at some shady village tribunal over at Alexandria’s leftover rubble. No public defender to run to Negan’s aid even in death.
The point of no return came early in the episode when Negan was pushed back into the wall by a walker after saving a life. The entire group stood still, turning into passive voyeurs. Like passengers on an NYC metro train watching a crime happen in real time. Mildly glancing with a side eye before shoving their head back into the newspaper.
Openly hoping, nay wishing for the grim reaper to place two coins on Negan’s eyes.
Tonight on The Walking Dead’s Season 11 Premiere, Negan cheated death by rolling away from the river of Styx… And letting it swallow Maggie whole instead. Walking away from the hoodless angel of death as she called out for his assistance.
Appealing to logic in a debate with a party that adheres to no such rule is a loser’s game. Alpha’s demise wouldn’t be enough and neither would anything else Negan ever did to repent for sins during war time.
Sometimes you have to walk away because sorry just isn’t good enough.
