This Lopez vs Lopez Episode 11 recap and review contains spoilers for “Lopez vs Neighbors”.
Episode 11 begins with George Lopez calling the neighbors moving in “Gentrifiers”. While daughter Mayan wants to make friends with fellow young mom June (Eden Sher).
George feels vindicated when June accepts a guacamole housewarming gift from Mayan and comments it reminds her of going to TJ’s… Trader Joes that is! It’s then George’s former best friend Steve (Neil Flynn) turns out to be June’s father!
George, still being bitter at Steve leaves a flaming bag of dog feces on Steve’s porch with what he calls a “Mexican twist”, a firecracker.
This sets the rivalry back into motion as George makes no secret of being the culprit behind it. Meanwhile, June cancels a play date with Mayan and asks to reschedule. Which makes Mayan uneasy about June wanting the young mom friendship as much as she does.
In a move of revenge, Steve has a towing company move George’s moving truck with him and Oscar (Al Madrigal) still in it! George later tells Mayan he “didn’t do nothin” and shows Mayan “Eat Me” written on their fence with her guacamole. Mayan is fully convinced at this point June is two-faced like her father George had told her.
Wearing ski-masks, the Lopez father and daughter decide to use a chainsaw on their neighbor’s tree to carve out their initials… Or as George says, in case of the law, G.L can stand for anything, like “George Lucas!”
Things go wrong when Mayan Lopez accidentally chainsaws the whole tree down into their yard. They get caught by June and her father Steve moments later. June reveals she knew nothing about what was going on behind the scenes, and she cancelled their playdate to clean up the residue left by the porch firecracker.
Mayan and June try to get their fathers back on the same page by building them a library. However, both fathers see it as nerdy and actually unite over smashing the thing!
Chance (Brice Gonzalez) is infatuated with June’s daughter Paloma (Kensie Mills) and sings her a song Romeo and Juliet style.
Kensie Mills likes Chance back and smiles from ear to ear, puppy love. Literally as well, as their dogs like each other as well.
However, Steve says, “No daughter of mine will date a Lopez, unless it’s Mario Lopez!” When June finds out she wants nothing stopping Paloma from dating Chance.
As she ‘needs time away’ from Paloma in her words. Matt Shively (Quintin) is ecastic for Chance, but instead Chance is disappointed. He’d already become interested in a girl two years older than him and wants to dump Paloma the rest of the episode.
Review: It’s old school George Lopez comedy, you won’t be disappointed. The highlight of Episode 11 is easily when Mayan and George mess up their tree initial plan.
