ATLUS is partnering with the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation (SPJA) to host this 30th anniversary Shin Megami Tensei concert.
The SMT concert will be produced in collaboration with soundtrec and SOHO Live, featuring live musicial performances from the video games series.
“Everyone at ATLUS looks forward to celebrating 30 years of Shin Megami Tensei at Anime Expo with what will be an awe-inspiring celebration for fans to attend and enjoy.
The evening will solely highlight the rich history of the series and will not include any major announcements.”
It’s quite notable ATLUS is already tempering fan expectations for ‘major announcements’ with that last line.
“Hosted over July 4 weekend, Anime Expo brings together anime and Japanese pop culture fans and industry members from around the world for the largest celebration of Japanese pop culture in North America.
The four-day celebration, currently in its 32nd year of operation, is jam-packed with announcements, special guests, exclusive premieres, interactive events and more from iconic leaders in Japanese entertainment, music, fashion and video games.”

It has acted as the promoter, booking agency, and marketing agency for concerts based on some of the biggest video game/anime franchises in the world. Including: Dragon Ball Symphonic Adventure, Pokémon Symphonic Evolutions, Distant Worlds: Music from FINAL FANTASY, and Sonic Symphony.”
“SPJA is a non-profit organization dedicated to popularize and educate the public about Japanese entertainment and pop culture, as well as provide a forum to facilitate learning between professionals and fans.”
“ATLUS delivers unforgettable, story-driven gameplay experiences to enthusiastic and dedicated fans around the globe.

We should have more information and concert details soon. Including which song performances from the Shin Megami Tenesi series will be featured. Remember that this concert is offered exclusively to Anime Expo attendees.
Hopefully, track “Tokyo -Daybreak-” from SMT V on the Nintendo Switch will get the live treatment. As its one of our favorites at The Natural Aristocrat®.
