NWA Rewind: The Cult of Cornette have a retro styled wrestling territory music video to pair up with the hit podcast’s new theme song from band, ‘The Ex-Bombers’.
“The video takes place in a television studio at the 80s/90s style territory wrestling program “Duo Championship Wrestling.”
The Ex-Bombers (channeling their Cornette-ness) are trying to play their hit song but are interrupted by The Does (Jeremiah Plunkett & Jay Kross from NWA / top independents) and their slimeball manager New York Bro.
It devolves into absolute mayhem that is something out of Memphis or Florida Championship Wrestling. This bedlam is all captured live in the television studio as a long take without a single cut.
The video also features WWF/WWE referee Jack Doan’s first return to wrestling in a decade.”
“The Ex-Bombers (S.M. Nancy Walus & M. Keri Cousins) are a psychedelic blues duo from Illinois.
They utilize an electric 8-string octave bass, a jazz drum set, and a pair of ‘wrecking ball’ voices to spread their blues-meets-garage-meets-jazz sound.
Since 2010 they have been amassing a cult following through their live shows and five vinyl releases on Cavetone Records.”
