Yu-Gi-Oh! actor Kenjiro Tsuda talks memorable fan interactions
Interview Excerpt: Yu-Gi-Oh! Japanese voice actor Kenjiro Tsuda (Seto Kaiba) spoke to The Natural Aristocrat® about his most memorable fan interactions at Anime NYC 2025.
THE NATURAL ARISTOCRAT (NIR REGEV): When it comes to ‘Yu-Gi-Oh!’, what’s your most memorable or craziest fan interaction at a convention or otherwise?
KENJIRO TSUDA: Most of the Yu-Gi-Oh! fans are really, really out there. (laughs)
You know, this year marks the 25th anniversary of Yu-Gi-Oh! and I do a lot of anime and I appear on TV. When I’m on the set in the recording booth, a lot of staff who used to be ”dualists’ as children are involved in productions now. Sometimes the staff will just walk over to me and approach me, then confess to me very quietly… (whispers) “I used to be a dualist!” (laughs)
They’re shy, so they’re not gonna be over exaggerated or anything. But they always shows a child’s expression on their face!
So it feels nice to see they’re seeing Seto Kaiba in me and having that interaction makes me happy.
