The 2019 Miss USA Competition airs from Reno Tahoe at the Grand Sierra Resort and the GSR Casino’s Grand Theatre at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday, May 2 on FOX. Those on the west coast should be aware that the competition will be tape delayed on the Pacific Time Zone. You can catch the show online at FOX’s official live stream or with a free seven-day trial at Fubo TV.
Nick Lachey will be pulling double duty, co-hosting with wife Vanessa Lachey and performing a song on-stage. Vanessa was Miss Teen USA herself in 1998, so she’ll be able to lend true expertise. Joining Nick and Vanessa will be commentators Carson Kressley and Lu Sierra and rapper/singer T-Pain. The two-hour special will feature last year’s winner Miss USA 2018 Sarah Rose Summers crowning the next heir to the throne. Summers represented her home state of Nebraska when she won the title, the first ever winner from the state.
This year’s winner will naturally represent the United States at the upcoming Miss Universe 2019. It will be the 68th edition of the Miss Universe and see 2018 winner Catriona Gray of the Philippines similarly crowning her successor.
Savannah Skidmore, who was Miss Arkansas 2016 will be returning to challenge this year, along with Acacia Courtney (Miss Connecticut 2014), Alice Magoto (Miss Ohio 2016), and Triana Browne (Miss Oklahoma 2017).
Miss United States 2016, Alayah Benavidez will represent her home state of Texas.
