This Cleaning Lady recap contains spoilers.
Neither Thony or Marco asked their son what he wanted before whisking him off from home. In fact, Thony’s final emasculation of her husband came when she told him ‘Not to put any ideas in Luca’s head about going back.’ Something Thony would be just as guilty of on a young, impressionable mind.
It was clear to Marco that the marriage was over, kaput. His wife had traded him in for a high end criminal Arman Morales, while he’d be tossed to the waste-bin of Exes past. Even if Thony would not admit to it to Marco’s face.
Thony had lost sight of her singular goal to protect her son, which even Arman’s own wife Nadia commented on. Just like that, her temporary lapse of focus led to losing Luca. Her husband Marco returning the favor of separation anxiety.
The Cleaning Lady Season 1 Finale would conclude with desperate cries of “My Baby” in complete panic. The camera circling Thony’s pain from every angle, from a triumphant crypto heist to below square one. Luca is lost but not gone. The ultimatum is set, either Thony returns to Manilla to her old life… Or a mother will have to see her child through Facetime ever after.
Will Thony be willing to make that sacrifice for Arman? We’ll find out if The Cleaning Lady returns for Season 2. This sting operation could be Thony’s last on the side of the law. At least in Las Vegas…
