Holly Earl returns to the silver screen as Nat in Shark Bait, on spring break with a long-time romance and pals in Mexico. The group ignores a wheelchair confined local beggar’s warning to avoid the waters and steal a pair of Jet Skis.
The rebellious fun soon turns to sheer, unfiltered horror when they ride one too many miles away from shore and endure an accident. One that attracts the attention of the sea’s apex predator.
Shark Bait will release in theaters, digitally, and on-demand this Friday, May 13. Alongside Holly Earl, star of Flavourworks’ Erica will be cast members Jack Trueman (The Conversation), Catherine Hannay (Holby City), Malachi Pullar-Latchman (Open All Night), and Thomas Flynn (Bridgerton).
The film is directed by James Nunn (One Shot) with a script penned by Nick Saltrese (EastEnders). Shark Bait‘s film running time is 87 minutes.
“A group of spring breakers are enjoying the trip of a lifetime on the sandy beaches of Mexico.
As the sun rises after a night of partying, they steal a couple of jet skis and race out to sea. But bravado and bad decisions lead to a terrifying accident. Stranded miles from shore, the true horror begins when the group realizes they’ve drifted into shark-infested waters.
With no way back and one friend badly bleeding, the group must quickly figure out how to survive the predator lurking in the waters below.”
