This is the band’s first live performance video on Netflix since nationwide Japan tour “Hikaru Utada Laughter in the Dark Tour 2018” released in 2019.
The show was also bundled on DVD and Blu-ray for the Single-run Limited Edition CD of their latest album BAD MODE released on February 23.
“We hope you enjoy reliving the wonderful moments of the online concert, immerse yourself in the beautiful images created by David Barnard, whose filmography includes Radiohead’s “In Rainbows – From Basement” and Eric Clapton’s “LOCKDOWN SESSIONS” and sound mixing by Grammy-winning engineer Steve Fitzmaurice, who has worked on Hikaru Utada’s sounds since Fantôme.”
Hikaru Utada is well known to video game fans for singing the opening theme songs to Kingdom Hearts (“Simple and Clean“), Kingdom Hearts II (“Sanctuary“), and Kingdom Hearts III (“Face My Fears” with EDM star Skrillex).
