Burnout Syndromes were previously nominated for “Best Opening” theme at the 2020 Crunchyroll Anime Awards for “Phoenix” from anime series Haikyu!!.
They also performed the first ending theme to anime series Gintama, “Hana Ichi Monme”
Crunchyroll has dubbed their newly minted three day celebration of live music, ‘New Crunchy City Music Fest‘.
The event will feature live performances from a mix of local & international artists. Burnout Syndromes joins J-Pop girl group ATARASHII GAKKO! as the latest featured Japanese music act performing.
You’ll be able to attend ‘New Crunchy City Music Fest’ for free if you’ve purchased tickets to Crunchyroll Expo.
The Crunchyroll Expo x Music Festival will take place at San Jose, California on August 5 – August 7, 2022 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center.
Burnout Syndromes features singer & guitarist Kazuumi Kumagai, bass player Taiyu Ishikawa, and drummer Takuya Hirose.
Crunchyroll has also announced a mix of guests from hit anime series The Rising of the Shield Hero
Kevin Penkin: The award-winning composer behind the music of The Rising of the Shield Hero, MADE IN ABYSS and Tower of God.
MADKID: A popular dance vocal group best known for their opening themes for The Rising of the Shield Hero.
Hiromitsu “JIMA” Ijima: “JIMA” is the Music Producer and Director behind The Rising of the Shield Hero, MADE IN ABYSS, Tower of God, among many others.
Kosuke Arai: Animation Producer from Kadokawa on The Rising of the Shield Hero.
“Crunchyroll Expo is the yearly celebration of all things anime, featuring unique panels, exclusive merchandise, and world premieres.
This year’s show will both be in-person and streaming online August 5–7, 2022, with an additional digital replay available until August 9, 2022.
In person, fans will be transported to New Crunchy City, a bustling anime metropolis comprised of four distinct districts:
The Central Shopping District featuring anime merchandise, con exclusives, swag and more, the Arts District home to nearly 150 artists, the Theater District showcasing anime premieres and screenings, and the Super Arcade featuring Club Yuzu, the place for gaming, raving, and more unique programming.
The New Crunchy City Music Fest is a new experience for attendees of Crunchyroll Expo and will feature three days of performances from a mix of local and international artists. Access to the New Crunchy City Music Fest is included free with tickets to Crunchyroll Expo.
