Frasier (2023) Episode 10 Recap, Cast, Photos: A Roz Christmas

(2023) Frasier Recap: Episode 10 is the episode Roz fans have been waiting for as actress Peri Gilpin makes her grand return to celebrate Christmas with Frasier. Side Note: Her new blond highlights look great.

Frasier looks back at the dancing Santa that used to ‘torment’ him in his younger days with nostalgia. Now a priceless memento left behind by his father Martin. Frasier misses his father more than ever at Christmas time.

Freddy notices Frasier’s loneliness and decides to secretly arrange an “old friend” to cheer him up. That “old friend” from Frasier’s past of course is Roz Doyle!

Side note: There’s more Niles references in “Reindeer Games”, Frasier actually receives a phone call from Niles mocking his eggnog. But we don’t actually hear David Hyde Pierce’s voice.

Roz greets Frasier at his lowest, abandoned during a makeshift Christmas party with two days notice. She speaks of what became of daughter Alice after all this time. “Reindeer Games” feels kind of like an epilogue of sorts in many ways for classic Frasier viewers.

It’s worth mentioning that after Frasier and Roz have drinks at a bar, they return holding hands.

Seasons ago Roz was jealous of Julia, a woman Frasier was dating at the office. It seemed like Roz was about to confess wanting to be in a relationship with him back then… But the writers kind of pulled back on the storyline as romantic. Is this changing in the reboot?

Nevertheless, Roz convinces Frasier that Freddy hadn’t abandoned him on Christmas at all. He was just trying to help both Eve and him at the same time. Frasier recognizes this and decides to attend the party going on at Eve’s place and apologize to Freddy for his outburst.

Frasier however is surprised to find Christmas guests he thought had left him back at his apartment enjoying dinner. He apologizes to Freddy for ‘Frasier-ing’ the evening initially.

Fun Side Plots on Frasier Episode 10:

Frasier accidentally hires an elementary school band to play at his Christmas party and they’re all out of tune. The best part is in the closing of episode 10 when Frasier tries to get them to play “Tossed Salad and Scrambled Eggs” but it’s all out of tune.

Eventually, Frasier gives up on the band and we hear his voice singing the classic ending theme to close out the episode.

Alan and David enjoy a Christmas challenge of saying all the reindeer names during conversation… Then they ante up by getting other people to say the reindeer names for them.

Moose and Oliva get together at the conclusion of episode 10, which will certainly have an impact on future episodes of the reboot.
